Ingredients

2 1/2 C flour           1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt                 1 C shortening

1/2 C sugar            1 C brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla            2 eggs

1 or 2 C chocolate chips

Cream shortening with sugars, eggs, and vanilla.  Mix dry ingredients and stir into shortening mixture.  Stir in chocolate chips.  Drop onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees.
