Dumplings (Knoffley’s – check spelling)
Flour (bowl full) 2 cups
add salt – 1 tsp.
add water (put in with canned milk) and 1 cup til half mixed
add 2 eggs and mix in.
Batter is thick and sticky.
Cook in boiling water with salt in it.
Drop in small 1/2 tsp. in water.
When comes to top – drain in strainer – put in bowl. Add butter.
(Melt butter until yellow to brown.)
Enough for 4 people.
